Portland Water Treatment Plant Notice:
Due to the flash flooding that occurred on Friday June 30th, 2023, the treatment plant needed to switch sources on its raw water intake from West Fork Drakes Creek to the City Lake which eventually led to some customers having water that was discolored with a light gray appearance. While there were no health concerns, the City did report the incident to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and took several samples to ensure water safety.
