To all City of Portland Natural Gas Customers:
Currently and in the next couple months, the City of Portland will be conducting natural gas leak survey safety inspections within the Portland area. A City of Portland employee will be in a marked “City of Portland” vehicle and safety vest.
To complete the required inspection, the City of Portland Technician will need access to your property in areas where underground natural gas lines are located, and to your gas meter. No interruption to your service is planned as part of this work. If there are issues with access to your property, a door hanger will be left with a contact number to call.
Natural gas is one of the safest, most reliable fuels available. The City of Portland conducts annual inspections and performs maintenance on the system to keep it safe and working properly.
