The Committee system was suspended in January 2012. 

Through December 2011, the Parks Committee was appointed by the Mayor, consisted of 3 Council members.

The Parks Advisory Board, appointed by the Mayor, Parks Director, and Council, is comprised of 5 citizens.  This board is intended to represent the citizens with respect to issues such as capital projects, and to provide a format for public input.
