Located in Sumner County, the third fastest growing county in Tennessee, we look to the future with anticipation. With a recently completed Land-Use Plan in place, and a Hwy 52W Corridor Study is underway, we are putting our vision to work, and we're excited about the coming growth.

Just 30 minutes north of Nashville at exit 117 off Interstate 65, Portland is centrally located for growth. Mayor Wilber states: “In Portland, you're within a day’s drive of 50 percent of the U.S. population."

With warehousing and distribution operations like Federated (Macy's/Bloomingdales), CWC, Peyton's, and others; and new manufacturing operations like Olhausen Billards and Gastite added to local long-time industry such as Albany International, Kirby Building Systems, United Structures of America, Unipres, Imperial, and Hospital Disposables, you can see why Portland is a leader for providing jobs in northern middle Tennessee.
